On 29 April Newbuilding Division of Nauta Yard launched a partly outfitted fishing vessel Kings Cross. It was the second launching ceremony in Nauta this year and fifth for Dannish client – Karstensens Skibsvaerft AS.
Kings Cross is 78 m long and 15 m wide, depth to the main deck is 6,5 m. This is a modern fishing trawler. This kind of vessels is equipped with steel tanks for storage of life fish. Electronic devices such as sonar will increase the efficiency by locating shoals, assessing their size and planning optimal route.
Newbuilding Department of Nauta Shipyard has begun construction of fully equipped fishing vessel - Ocean Star with a steel cutting ceremony held on April 26th. The ceremony was attended by representatives of shipowner, DnV and Wartsila Design.
After successful repair of m/s Podlasie Nauta Yard once again works for Polsteam. On April 21st bulk carrier Pomorze entered the shipyard.
The vessel will undergo extensive dock repair, including maintenance and painting work, inspection of the tailshaft, propeller and rudder as well as works in the holds and on cranes. The vessel with LOA of 190 m and the beam of 28.5 m was built in 2008. Pomorze is a modern unit equipped with 4 cranes and 5 holds. The vessel is a sister-ship of Podlasie, which left Nauta in recent weeks.
In the recent days Nauta Shiprepair Yard has signed two contracts for building partly outfitted fishing trawlers for its Danish Client – Karstensens Skibsvaerft AS.
Within the first order Nauta will produce a partly outfitted vessel with length 69.9 m and beam 14.2 m. The B – 436 unit will be ready to hand over in March, 2017. This vessel will be similar to the other seiners – Kvannoy and Beinur – which Nauta has built for Karstensens Skibsvaerft AS.
The second order is for building a little smaller vessel – with the length of 63 m and beam of 12.8 m. The launching ceremony is planned for July 2017.
The works on board Point Lisas Pearl are conducted in the SD I dry dock. The vessel with LOA 187,5 m and beam over 29 m is undergoing maintenance repair.
Point Lisas Parl belongs to SMT Ship Management & Transport – the company is a member of SMT Shipping, which is a worldwide leader in bulk and bulk cargo transportation. Last year Nauta repaired another vessel belonging to the same shipowner – Bahamas Pearl.
After repairs vessel changed her name to m/v Bontrup Pearl.
In March Polsteam’s bulk carrier Podlasie entered Nauta Shiprepair Yard where she undergoes extensive dock repair.

On 22th January 2016 Nauta Shiprapair Yard launched a partly outfitted service offshore vessel – Esvagt Njord built for Norwegian client – Havyard Ship Technology. It is the first launching ceremony for Nauta in this year.
Esvagt Njord is 84 meters long and over 17 meters wide. The unit will operate at Dudgeon wind farm, outside the coast of Norfolk in Great Britain. The ship’s main task will be providing accommodation, carry personnel and equipment for the performance and service maintenance on offshore windmills.
Nauta Shiprepair Yard completed works on the board one of the most beautiful and most famous Polish sail training ship – Dar Młodzieży. Scope of works included: general maintenance in cabins and class repair.
