Nauta’s Newbuilding Division has launched yet another vessel this year. On 14th September a partly outfitted fishing vessel bearing a name „RAV” left the B-1 slipway in Gdansk.
RAV (B-443) was built for Karstensens Skibsvaerft AS. The Danish client has been co-operating with Nauta since the very opening of the Newbuilding Division in Gdansk in 2013. When completed, the vessel will join the fleet of Norwegian fishing company Peter Hepso Rederi. She will operate in harsh environment of the North Atlantic.
The vessel is 78 m long and over 15 m wide. Rav is the fifth vessel launched this year and the sixteenth vessel built for this Danish client. Nauta plans to launch three more vessels this year.
Nauta specializes in building modern fishing vessels. Since the opening of Newbuilding Division in Gdansk, Nauta has already signed contracts for building 22 fishing vessels. Another important area of shipyard’s activity is construction of research units as well as service offshore vessels. What is more, Nauta has recently signed an important contracts for building a ship platform for the special purpose Signal Intelligence vessel for the Swedish Navy and RATOWNIK class submarine rescue and salvage vessel for the Polish Navy.
