2nd Special Survey is being performed on board m/v Catharina Schulte container carrier.
Catharina Schulte is the next vessel from the Indian management of the Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement. In September works were performed on board a sister vessel Margaretha Schulte
In the recent days Nauta Shirepair Yard has signed contracts for building five partly outfitted fishing vessels. Every ships has been ordered by Dannish client – Karstensens Skibsvaerft AS.
Three trawlers and two pelagic trawlers shall be in Newbuilding Site in Gdańsk. The smallest vessel will have almost 50 m length, while the largest one will measure 82 m. Total weight of five hulls will be 5 428 tones. Two of ordered vessels are planned to be delivered to the client in 2017. The delivery of next three units is planned in the first and second quarter of 2018.
On 31st October passenger ferry Mazovia, belonging to the Polsteam (PŻB) entered dry dock SD I. The vessel will undergo standard dock repair.
In dry dock SD I Nauta will perform maintenance and painting works on the hull, ramps and in tanks, repair of ruder fins as well as piping, electrical and machining works. The vessel also need refurbishment of the cabins.
Nauta is performing complex works on two Fast Attack Crafts Missile of "Orkan" class namely ORP ORKAN and ORP PIORUN.
Nauta Shiprepair Yard once again works for Interorient Shipmanagemnt. This time works are performed on board chemical tanker Baltic Soul.
15 years old chemical tanker is undergoing third special survey which includes: standard machining, piping and painting works as well as steel works on the hull and in ballast tanks. The vessel is 182,5 m long and over 27 m wide. Baltic Soul has double hull and A1 ice-class.
90 years ago, on 7th October 1926 the Town Council of Gdynia passed the resolution for the necessity of establishing a shipbuilding enterprise, defines it shape and the site for its location. That day is the date of establishment of Nauta Shiprepair Yard.
Nauta conducted activity until 31 December 1927 when it was transformed into a joint stock company Gdynia Shipyard. The years 1936-1937 had their negative influence on the activity of the enterprise. Despite it, already in 1937 the company was reactivity with majority of the stock being held by Polish shareholders. Together with the development of the Gdynia Shipyard the shipbuilding and shiprepair industry for the fishing fleet developed.
