Nauta Shiprepair Yard has increased its production potential. The new facilities include:
a) Dry dock SD I (240 m x 40 m) together with Southern Quay in Gdynia.
b) Slipways B1 (280 m x 36 m)and B 3 (177 m x 28.7) in Gdańsk
The largest vessel ever in the history of Nauta Shiprepair Yard entered the SD II dry dock on 13th November 2013.
The 277 meter long and 46 meter wide shuttle tanker MT Grena, belonging to the Norwegian shipowner, shall undergo coating, piping, steel renewal, machine and electrical works.
On 29th October 2013 Nauta Shiprepair Yard signed a contract for construction and delivery of a new research vessel for the University of Gothenburg.
Nauta Shiprepair Yard together with other entities of Mars Shipyards & Offshore group took part in Europort 2013 international maritime exhibition.
The event took place on 5th – 8th November, 2013 at the Ahoy exhibition complex in Rotterdam.
Nauta Yard has recorded busy first days of November. Among the vessels docked in two dry docks and four floating docks were: 249 m long MT Propontis, MT Marlin Iris and Ro-Pax m/v Stena Alegra.
On September 23rd, 2013 the Minister of Treasury, Mr. Włodzimierz Karpiński paid visit to Nauta Shiprepair Yard.
During the visit of the Nauta facilities in Gdynia and Gdańsk the perspectives of further development of our yard were discussed.
On 20th September 2013 Nauta Shiprepair Yard, Crist and EPG hosted Mr. Kommer Damen, the Chairman and the owner of Damen Shipyards Group.
During the visit the areas of possible co-operation between the yards were discussed.
Mr. Mohamed El Hacen El Hadj the President of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania paid visit to Nauta Shiprepair Yard on September 17th, 2013. The Mauritanian delegation was provided with information regarding both the Nauta Shiprepair Yard’s infrastructure and the infrastructure of other entities conducting their activity at the Gdynia shipbuilding complex.
Nauta has signed two contract for major conversions of the vessels.
The first contract has been signed with a Norwegian client and is connected with the lengthening and fitting some of the elements of the new equipment on board subsea vessel Havila Phoenix.
NAUTA Shiprepair Yard has signed contracts for building two partly outfitted Snurper/Trawlers for the Danish client Karstensen Shipyard A/S.
On 10th July 2013 a commemorative steel cutting ceremony was held for the partly outfitted Platform Supply Vessel.
Works are conducted on the next oil/chemical carrier at Nauta. Presently works on board Norwegian ownedMT Brøvig Marin.
The next edition of Nor-shipping international maritime fair was held in Oslo, Norway on 4th – 7th June, 2013.
Oil tanker m/t Sophie Schulte with LOA = 249,00 m, Breadth = 44,00 entered Nauta Shiprepair Yard on 5th June, 2013. This is the largest vessel which has been repaired in our Yard this year so far.
RoPax vessel m/v Norman Trader belonging to Stena RoRo entered Nauta Shiprepair Yard on 4th June, 2013. This vessel is undergoing necessary modifications and coating works (application of silicon coating) preparing the vessel for the Stena’s Gdynia – Karlskrona line, in addition to two other ferries already present on this line.
The vessel will leave the Yard under a new name m/v “Stena Alegra”.
On 23rd May, 2013 Nauta and Hellesøy Verft AS signed a contract for building a partly outfitted hull of PSV with the following dimensions L= 89.20m, B= 19 m, D= 9.0m.
On 9th May, 2013 a ceremony of keel laying of a special purpose research vessel for interdisciplinary research of the sea was held at the premises of Nauta Shiprepair Yard at Czechosłowacka str. in Gdynia.
The vessel is built for Faculty of Oceanography of University of Gdańsk.
On the 9th of April SR Nauta finished the works and loaded on board offshore construction ( 186 ton ) of Tie-back frames for the Dutch client.
At the beginning of April three vessels of Wilson Ship Management: m/v Wilson Malm, m/v Wilson Ross and m/v Wilson Saga stayed in our floating docks – all at the same time.
During last days Ro-Ro vessels: m/v Stena Forecaster of Stena Ro Ro and m/v Watling Street of Northern Marine Management have been undergoing repairs in two dry docks in Gdynia.
We are pleased to inform that on 4th April 2013 keel laying of Purse Seiner / Pelagic Trawler based on SC70 project was performed.
We are proud to inform that Nauta Shiprepair Yard has just entered into an co-operation agreement with Ulrik Qvale & Partners AS including brokerage services in Norway.
On January 11th,.2013 a consortium of Nauta Shiprepair Yard (leader) and CRIST S.A. (partner) signed a contract with University of Gdansk for the design works and construction of a special purpose research vessel intended for the Institute of Oceanography, University of Gdańsk
On 30th December, 2012 a successful dry docking of m/v Friedrich Russ took place. This RO-RO vessel (153.45m x 20.60m) belongs to Hamburg based ERNST RUSS GmbH & Co. KG.
