Breaking news: NAUTA Yard is going to large vessels' ship repairing market

NAUTA Shiprepair Yard based in Gdynia, the oldest one in Poland, continuously functioning since 1922 comes onto the market of large ships repair, the largest ones able to enter the Baltic sea. For that purpose, the production capacity has been extended and the Yard acquired new, more attractive cooperation opportunities with ship owners and operators of the biggest ships.

As of the end of 2010, NAUTA Shiprepair Yard signed the agreement with a private Shipyard CRIST for the exclusive use of the dry dock of the former Gdynia Shipyard. In 2011, a dry dock with the dimensions of 380 m of length, 70 m in width and 8 m in dept his for the exclusive disposal of the NAUTA Shipyard from February to August. The agreement refers
also to the subsequent years.

As of the end of 2010, NAUTA Shiprepair Yard purchased from Maritim-Shipyard based in Gdańsk the floating dock with the length of 165 m, the external width of 31,2 m and bearing capacity of 10,000 tons. This dock, after the reconstruction in February 2011, in the dry dock
of the CRIST Shipyard, since 2011 shall have the length of 190,5 m and 14,000 tons in bearing capacity. It will enable for the repairs of the ships with the length of up to 210 m.

It is worth adding that as of the end of 2009, NAUTA Shiprepair Yard purchased from the bankruptcy administrator Gdynia Shipyard, the territory of 11 ha of land area and 8 ha in water area, within which the equipment divisions are located, the pipeline, mechanic and plumping ones included along with the halls and quays with a total length of 1350 m and 9 m in depth. The new, well located and favorably communicated production area allows for the equipment and repair works to be conducted in a large and very large ships.

The new floating dock, will be founded on a newly acquired production area and will dispose of a 18-meter dock depth. In the future, next to it, there will be placed three formerly used floating docks of the NAUTA Shipyard, towed from the so called old repair area. They allow for the repairs and reconstruction works conducted of smaller and medium ships, including fishing
and technical ships and offshore, which was and still is the specialty of the NAUTA Shipyard.

Thanks to the new investments of the NAUTA Shiprepair Yard, it is planned to increase significantly the sale of repair and production services.
